14th Duskin Leadership Training 2011/2012 is back!
14th Duskin Leadership Training in Japan: A Program for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific is now OPEN for application!
Japanese Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (JSRPD) has been operating the program since 1999, offering young people with disabilities in the Asia and the Pacific regions a ten-month training opportunity to lean about the current situation of social welfare, welfare measures, policies and services for persons with disabilities in Japan. on completion of the program, trainees will have excellent knowledge and set of skills to act as a leader in their own communities, setting definite goals for independent living of persons with disabilities and developing clear perspectives in the future.
Currently, seven trainees of the 13th program, which starts on Sept 1st, are getting prepared for their forthcoming experience in Japan, by studying the Japanese language and drawing up their individual training plans.

The deadline for applications in October 31, 2011 (please note that applications postmarked after this date will not be considered).
