Youtube: Deaf in Military. Deaf want to serve his country!

With the spirit of "Ideas Worth Spreading", TEDxIslay helps them always spread ideas with their program talk, such as schools, businesses, and many for everyone around world that make them get inspiration. It can bring people together to share a TED-like experience to spread ideas and thoughts!

Keith Nolan invited to give his inspiration talk to the hearing society. He told us his stories about his inspiration life and how he serves as solider in Military. He wants to serve his country America since he learned of the experiences of his grandfather and great uncles who fought in WWII.

Before this, he always rejected by Military on many times when he joined the Military. Then, Keith Nolan worked as high school teacher for Deaf school, but he awares when his student told him that he wants to join Military. Finally, he open his eyes and want to battle to join in Military again again! He is willing to break down barriers to become a solider.

It is not easy to do the tough training for Deaf Keith Nolan. Everyday, he not give up and learn everything in his tough training. His colleagues always encourged him to push himself to do what he needs.

Today, he is determined to achieve his lifetime dream of working in military intelligence. He is very proud to wear his uniform on everyday! Deaf can be assigned to non-combat positions overseas, etc. They need to be adaptable and flexible to whatever the U.S. Military requires them to be.
